The Reformation Project is one of those groups that claims to love God and the Bible while also proclaiming a mission to " advance LGBTQ inclusion in the church." While the term inclusion would somehow imply that the church does not allow those with sexual sin in, that's a lie. However that's that's not the kind of inclusion they are talking about. Here's what they are talking about:

"Church teachings that condemn same-sex relationships and transgender people cause serious harm in the lives of LGBTQ Christians."

The issue isn't with "church teachings", it's the very fact that any church teaching that condemns (aka calls sinful) homosexuality is scripture based (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 1:10, Genesis 1:26–28; 2:20–25). However according to them their vision is:

"We envision a global church that honors Scripture and fully affirms LGBTQ people."

It's impossible to affirm LGBTQ in any capacity while honoring scripture without completely removing the aforementioned scripture, ignoring scripture, or simply rewriting it to fit your agenda. To affirm something is to assert it as being true and in the case of the Reformation Project, they are asserting LGBTQ behavior is fully acceptable and permissible.

LGBTQ Behavior is Sinful

The reality is that homosexuality and gender dysphoria run counter to scripture and as such to Christianity. One CANNOT be actively engage in those behaviors and profess Christ as their Lord.

There are some who will try to argue the position of forced homosexuality is bad while consenting is ok. That's a lie, as scripture is explicit in condemning homosexuality as a whole.

As for gender dysphoria, they are attempting to not only state that God made an error with their biology when he created them, but they also often engage in either chemical castration, genital mutilation, or both which causes significant mental and physical health. Some may defend this practice of allowing those to change their bodies to match their chosen gender, but in truth we see the significant rise in health issue with such folks.

God has created each of us perfectly and in his image. Thanks to the fall, and our subsequent sin nature, we view ourselves through a very distorted sin filled lens. This results in our attempts to remake ourselves into a worldly image based on the lies and outright war with God.

The Reformation Project is nothing more than heretical nonsense that's leading folks straight to hell and is in no way Christian.
