Not to long ago, the Christian world broke out into a frenzy over Representative Emanuel Cleaver II (D-Missouri) praying on the opening day of the 117th Congress and then subsequently closing the prayer by saying "amen and awoman".

It's obvious Rep. Cleaver, a Methodist Minister, it trying to be both cute and inclusive in regards to the historic occasion of the number of women in Congress. However it's also obvious how the timing was not only inappropriate for such a mention but also made a mockery of prayer, and in turn a mockery of the holiness and sanctity of God. After all, if a minister won't show respect to the Most High, who will?

Folks were right and should have called him out for such behavior especially since he's a minister. He should have known better. He needs to repent for the inappropriate behavior.

But Wait, There's More!

Rep. Cleaver's inclusion of "awoman" pales in comparison to what he uttered right before the "amen and awoman". In fact it's so significant, that we don't believe Rep. Cleaver is actually a Christian.

He's praying in the name of the Hindu god brahma. According to Hinduism that's their "Highest God". So why is Rep. Cleaver, a proclaimed Christian and Methodist Minister, praying to a demon?

But Wait, There's Even More!!

He goes on to declare he's praying in the name of "and god known by many names, by many different faiths.". Whoa there Rep. Cleaver. So again, why is a professing Christian praying to false gods?

It's simple, he's probably not a Christian. We say this because no real Christian would do such a thing and because as a Minister he would know there is only one God, one Way, and one Truth. It's pretty clear he doesn't.

We also say this because unfortunately the majority of the Methodist denomination has forsaken scripture and God for the sake of the world, and worldly feeling, and worldly philosophies. They seek first for themselves instead of the Kingdom of God.

So for those of you who were offended by "awoman", take a step back and see Rep. Cleaver for who he really is.
