We The Undersigned,

Denounce the article within itself, and The Gospel Coalition and Mr. Copeland for publishing false information. Furthermore we charge that both Mr. Copeland and The Gospel Coalition have knowingly and willfully violated the 9th Commandment by "bearing false witness against thy neighbor" through the false depiction and characterization of Mr Rittenhouse in the article (Exodus 20:16).

We the undersigned formally request that Mr. Copeland and The Gospel Coalition be called immediately to repentance, and to issue an immediate retraction and apology. Furthermore, we request The Gospel Coalition implement safeguards to review all content before it's published to ensure not only it's accuracy (both factually and biblically), but to also deter future occurrences of a similar nature.

Lastly, Mr. Copeland has exhibited a clear and undeniable bias that is moving closely towards a racist type rhetoric that has no place within the Church or The Gospel Coalition. While we believe that through appropriate remediation and counseling Mr. Copeland can be restored, we do not believe he is currently capable of maintaining his current positions. Therefore, we the undersigned request Mr. Copeland's immediate resignation as a TGC Council Member.
